The information referred to in Article 53<\/a>(1), point (b) shall contain at least the following:<\/p>\n

1. A general description of the general-purpose AI model including:<\/p>\n

(a) the tasks that the model is intended to perform and the type and nature of AI systems into which it can be integrated;<\/p>\n

(b) the acceptable use policies applicable;<\/p>\n

(c) the date of release and methods of distribution;<\/p>\n

(d) how the model interacts, or can be used to interact, with hardware or software that is not part of the model itself, where applicable;<\/p>\n

(e) the versions of relevant software related to the use of the general-purpose AI model, where applicable;<\/p>\n

(f) the architecture and number of parameters;<\/p>\n

(g) the modality (e.g. text, image) and format of inputs and outputs;<\/p>\n

(h) the licence for the model.<\/p>\n

2. A description of the elements of the model and of the process for its development, including:<\/p>\n

(a) the technical means (e.g. instructions for use, infrastructure, tools) required for the general-purpose AI model to be integrated into AI systems;<\/p>\n

(b) the modality (e.g. text, image, etc.) and format of the inputs and outputs and their maximum size (e.g. context window length, etc.);<\/p>\n

(c) information on the data used for training, testing and validation, where applicable, including the type and provenance of data and curation methodologies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-3070","annex","type-annex","status-publish","hentry"],"meta_box":{"date_of_eif":"","eif_according_to":"","eif_inherit_from":"","item_summary":"

Article 53 requires providers of general-purpose AI models to provide detailed information to those who integrate these models into their AI systems. This Annex specifies what information is required, including a general description of the AI model, its intended tasks, how it can be integrated into other systems, its release date and distribution methods, and how it interacts with other hardware or software. It also requires information on the model's architecture, input and output formats, and licensing.
