The Commission shall designate one or more Union AI testing support structures to perform the tasks listed under <a href=\"https:\/\/artificialintelligenceact.eu\/article\/21\">Article 21<\/a>(6) of Regulation (EU) 2019\/1020 in the area of AI.<\/p>\n<p>2. Without prejudice to the tasks referred to in paragraph 1, Union AI testing support structures shall also provide independent technical or scientific advice at the request of the Board, the Commission, or of market surveillance authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-3388","article","type-article","status-publish","hentry"],"meta_box":{"date_of_eif":"2 August 2026","eif_according_to":"Article 113","eif_inherit_from":"","item_summary":"<p>The European Commission will appoint one or more organizations to test and support AI systems in the EU, as outlined in a previous regulation.
